Discovery Baptist was a church plant on North Lakes which emerged through the combined vision of Mission to Queensland, Narangba Baptist Church and other surrounding local churches.  It has been so valuable for North Lakes to have a church planted in the heart of the community, giving local identification and opportunity for the church to develop significant relationships with the people, businesses and community groups.

The heart of Discovery Baptist has always bee to join God in His mission, taking God's love out into the community.  We look for what we term 'encounter points', places where people might encounter God's love in the course of thei normal daily routine.  In these places, people who would normally have no contact with the Church meet the powerful presence of God and His Church at work.
